Annually on the second Saturday in July come celebrate the life of the first Metis leader Cuthbert Grant, who fought against the colonial oppression of the British Government and established a Metis community on the Assiniboine River. Also annually on the second Saturday of August come celebrate Pioneer Day, where you can learn the stories of people who lived in what is now modern day Winnipeg, 200 years ago.
Both events feature live music, live reenactments of military drill, Metis dancing and so much more! Stay tuned because we will be updating this page very soon!
